          Playwright, scriptwriter and actor Meic Povey has immersed himself in different characters all of his life.

          From playing DC Taff Jones in popular TV series Minder to creating roles for the stage, Povey is renowned for his accurate portrayals.

          But it’s the real Meic Povey who is currently under the spotlight after releasing his autobiography Nesa Peth i Ddim (Next to Nothing).

          “Writing about myself instead of a character didn’t feel odd at all,” says Povey, who’s writing the fourth series of S4C drama Teulu, the third series of which will be screened from November.

          “What I did find hard at the beginning was the style of writing – I write plays and dialogues and that’s how I tell stories.”
