          The (Re)Write with James Landrith

          I am a son, husband, father and Marine Corps veteran.

          I grew up in a small town in Central Illinois, but I’ve lived on the East Coast in Northern Virginia since 1992. I served six years on active duty in the Corps, deployed to the Gulf War and now work running a large program for survivors of sexual violence in the military.

          Prior to my current role, I worked in a variety of administrative and HR roles in various industries.

          Much of my more recent writing covers sexual violence, particularly from the perspective of a male survivor of a likely female rapist.

          In the past, I volunteered as a moderator for the Pandora Project, served on caucuses and work groups with the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance, worked at the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) as a senior manager for the DoD Safe Helpline before moving to my current role running a large sexual assault prevention and response program for the military.

          My
